After earning her undergraduate degree in Biology at California University – Long Beach, Dr. Amanda Binns went on to earn her medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. She completed her residency at LAC+USC Medical Center.

Janet Goodfellow, MD, is a board-certified family practice physician and a co-founder of Irvine Family Care in Irvine, California. She has more than 30 years of experience in medicine and enjoys the challenge of her field and the diversity of working with men, women, and children of various ethnicities and socioeconomic backgrounds. She treats each patient as an individual, expertly helping them navigate through their wellness and medical needs.
Dr. Goodfellow is a Southern California native. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelor’s degree in kinesiology. She went on to earn her medical degree at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Dr. Goodfellow then completed her medical training at UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica, California, with a three-year residency in family medicine, where she was also named chief resident.
Following her training, she traveled around the world before settling into private practice in Orange County. Dr. Goodfellow is a working mother with two daughters who are her greatest joy and most humbling teachers. In her free time, Dr. Goodfellow enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach with her dog, exercising, hiking, adventure travel, theater and dance.
Dr. Goodfellow has a passion for health and enjoys preventative medicine and helping her patients reach their potential. She sees patients ages 6 years and up. She also offers SculpSure body contouring procedures.
After earning her undergraduate degree with honors in Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, Dr. Kalena Hwang went on to earn her Medical Degree from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the University of California at Irvine Medical Center, where she was appointed Chief Resident. She encourages her patients to focus on preventive care and to maintain good health through proper nutrition and exercise.

In her free time, Dr. Hwang enjoys spending time with her son and husband, skiing, hiking and cooking (healthy meals, of course!).
Dr. Kelly Wong was born in Hawaii and raised in Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biological Sciences from UC Irvine, with special recognition on the Dean’s Honor List. Dr. Wong received her Medical Degree from the University of Hawaii, John A Burns, School of Medicine, and completed her Family Medicine Residency at Kaiser Permanente. She received numerous awards for outstanding medical school performance, including being elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
Dr. Wong is board certified in Family Medicine. The scope of her practice includes primary care, with special interest in women’s health and skin care treatment. She has special training in office based cosmetic procedures, including Botox Cosmetic and Juvederm (Voluma, Volbella & Vollure) fillers, chemical peels and more.
Dr. Wong enjoys playing tennis, dancing hula, playing the piano and spending time with her three wonderful children. She welcomes you and your healthcare needs and looks forward to meeting you.
Ronald Young, MD, is a board-certified family practice physician and has been practicing medicine for more than 15 years. He is a co-founder of Irvine Family Care in Irvine, California. He chose family medicine for the opportunity to interact with each patient on a personal level and help guide them to the healthiest and best individual they can be!
He graduated Summa Cum Laude in Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder and attended medical school in Denver at the CU-Health Sciences Center. He completed his residency in Southern California at Northridge Family Practice (affiliated with UCLA) where he was chief resident. He is board certified in Family Medicine.
Along with Drs. Goodfellow, Dr. Young and Irvine Family Care received Greater Newport Physicians’ 2015 Outstanding Family Medicine Practice of the Year Award. He was also recently honored with Greater Newport Physicians’ 2018 Outstanding Family Medicine Doctor Award.

Katherine is a board certified family nurse practitioner. She received both her Bachelor of Science and Master’s degrees from the University of California, Irvine. She began her career in health care working as a caregiver for the developmentally disabled, where she was first given the opportunity to demonstrate compassion and patience. She then worked at U.C. Irvine Medical Center in Orange, California in a medical-surgical department, juggling roles between a floor nurse and charge nurse. She also acted as the head chair of her unit practice council.
Katherine feels that the patient-provider relationship should reflect that of mutual respect, collaboration and trust.
